This also brings about pollution to our planet. In order to improve our environment, conserving energy and reducing carbon emission is become the important topics. In order to enhance energy using efficacy, researchers propose a lot of methods in the field of power management and energy saving. Using (Wireless Local Sensor Network, WLSN) to construct (Home Automation, HA) is an indispensable trend of home appliances and power saving implementation. This thesis integrates the smart meter, wireless communication technique and simple graphic interface control to develop home appliances power saving control. The design is using power saving socket to measure power usage condition and transmit its status to user through wireless network. User can observe the graphic interface to remotely receive the information, and can also control power switch function and receive power information to evaluate the performed power quality. Conventional appliances consume more power than new type of power saving appliances. The energy saving socket can record the power consumption of every appliance and analyze the power consumption structure of every appliance. Finally, the economic efficiency of every appliance will be evaluated and yield more efficacy improvement. Besides, when users forget to remove the power socket of unused appliance which cause these unused appliance consume standby power, the proposed intelligent detection socket will remotely monitor power and inform users that unnecessary power is used.
