This study aims to discuss how to control air quality by applying various design methods, along with having a thorough understanding of the surroundings, design of sound, lights, air and heating system at the first stage of planning, in order to achieve the goal of “Source Management”. This process mainly begins from the stage of selecting decorative materials, such as formaldehyde–free panels for ceiling use, anti-bacteria/anti-crack GRG (Glassfiber Reinforced Gypsum), stones that have been measured for radon, heat-pressed wooden panels that have been checked for stability and eco-friendly natural paint. They all fit in the standard of EEWH-BC. In the latter part of the study, focus is given to the final phases of construction. Measurements of IAQ were conducted in the late winter or the beginning of spring. The average indoor temperature and humidity lie in the acceptable range suggested by the Taiwanese Government. This fact has verified that the control of building materials is can be conducted in order to manage the changes of indoor temperature and humidity. From measurements taken in a gym, it was detected that the two-hour mean value of Rn and CO2 was 1.3 times smaller than regular temperature after the air conditioner is turned on. Proper planning should also be adopted in the construction sites. Besides effective management right from the beginning stage, selection of building materials and proper arrangement of construction schedule are also important. 邵文政 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 174 zh-TW
