| Summary: | 碩士 === 東海大學 === 資訊工程學系 === 102 === This paper seeks to understand the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in an elderly home care environment, as well as uncover the home care requirements and challenges facing ‘telecare’ healthcare systems. Linking ICT with healthcare, this paper examines the previous literature in an attempt to better understand the impact and contribution of ICT on the lives of the elderly. By creating a sense of trust and forming good relationships with participants, we strive to uncover the attitudes and behavior of seniors who use information technology, as well as discover appropriate health care requirements to help transform collected data into useful information relating to healthcare requirements, thereby becoming an acceptable and easy to use healthcare service for the elderly. The case study methodology used in this study utilizes reliable domestic and international data to engage in a comparative analysis of the difficulties, as well as influencing factors, encountered by seniors using ICT in a home care environment.
