Therefore, in order to discarded all the worldly matters of the flesh and to regain our inner peace to reinforced our faith, looking at the Icon can certainly do that, furthermore, helping the people who does not know God to understand the meaning of the Bible more easily. As a Catholic, I devote my art talent to create pictures for my Lord, and through painting, it becomes a unique way of my very own personal devotion with God. During the icons painting process, the meaning of the pictures become much clearer to me. Creating a religious paint is like reading the Bible, you have to comprehend the meaning of the paint as well as the word of the Lord. Therefore, all the art creation made by a pure, praising heart, is a great religious work. In my art works, I am keen to search for heart-touching elements by tracing back to the traditional“Byzantine frescoes”and the“History of Christianity”, and to contemplate on how to re-interpret into order, then eventually decided to demonstrate my work in two different ways: 1、 by bringing the portable 3D triptych with deesis painting or double with dessis onto the oil-painting canvas, rearrange, then combining the “Gold” element from the Eastern Orthodox Church to give the work a whole new life. 2、 Pine wood triptych, by using Tempera painting. To strive to put the creator’s pray into my art works, and hence reach the state of seamless connection between man and God.
