Summary: | 碩士 === 東海大學 === 工業工程與經營資訊學系 === 102 === Rubber O-ring industry is a high degree of production customization. There are many dynamic changes in the production based on different product types, such as styles, quantity and delivery time. Rubber O-ring production process is mixed combination lines facing the challenge of processes, per unit time, delivery, insert a single, temporary storage, etc. In addition, rubber industry is one of labor-intensive industries. There is always a question about how many employees and machine will be suit. Many issues need to consider in this kind of complex production line. Any misallocation of resources could cause flow obstruction. Once the delay in delivery, vendors must be absorbed shipping by itself. The case study in this research produced by simulating a large number of orders. In the simulation study, we discussed the production cycle, utilization of people and machine, production line transport principle, scheduling, optimization of resource in the continuous production process. For finding the best solution, we use Optquest in Simul8 software. The result included large number of order items completion time, resource allocation, machine production efficiency, transport principle, optimization of production schedules and manpower allocation. Therefore, the total improvement in this study improve 32% of production cost.
