Description
Summary:碩士 === 慈濟大學 === 教育研究所 === 102 === The study aims at analyzing the elementary school teacher education system between Taiwan and Sweden. Comparative method and documentary analysis were used to explore the reform, development, institutions, curriculum, internship system and certification of elementary teacher education. According to research findings, the researcher conclude five suggestions for elementary school teacher education system between Taiwan and Sweden. First of all, Taiwan and Sweden have something in common when it comes to the reasons and the outcomes of teacher education system reform; however, Sweden puts more emphasis on internationalization. In addition, Taiwan and Sweden have different goals of teacher education system reform and take different procedures. Second, comparing Taiwan with Sweden, the responsibilities of teacher education institutions are not equal, but both of them are partially legally empowered. Teacher education institutions in Sweden are given more responsibilities and freedom. Third, both Taiwan and Sweden stress the consistency of teacher education curriculum and expect to improve the weakness that there is too much theoretical content in it. All that is for one thing - to strike a balance between theoretical content and pratical content. The procedures Sweden take, for example: promote the internationalization of teacher education system and develop students’ global perspective and language abilities , is worthy of learning. Fourth, Taiwan and Sweden have the same target - the integration of intership system and the enhancement of the intensity between teacher education institutions and elementary schools. In contrast to Taiwan, Sweden’s student teachers have longer and closer relationship with elementary schools and students. Fifth, check it thoroughly, certification of primary teacher education in Taiwan is more complicated in patterns and processes; there is no formal examinaiton exclusively for teacher certification in Sweden. Finally, the researcher provides some advice about research method, subsequent research and teacher education system in Taiwan and Sweden.
