Using the quasi-experiment method, the researcher applied computer-integrated instruction to elementary 3rd graders selected from Pingtung Country by conducting “Waste War” activities about environmental issues. To explore the impact of computer-integrated instruction on students’ learning environmental knowledge, attitude and behaviors, the research had both experimental group and control group. The former received computer-integrated instruction, while the latter received only didactic instruction. Based on the results and the statistical analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, some findings were as follows: 1. The use of “Waste War” activities improved the experimental group’s knowledge of waste reduction. 2. The effects of applying computer-integrated instruction were better than that of applying didactic instruction on students’ knowledge of waste reduction. 3. The effects of computer-integrated instruction were better than that of didactic instruction on students’ attitude towards waste reduction. 4. “Waste War” activities brought no significant effects on students’ behaviors towards waste reduction. 5. No significant corrections were found between computer-integrated instruction through “Waste War” activities and environmental knowledge, attitude, and behaviors towards waste reduction. Based on the above results, the research provided some suggestions for future researches on computer-integrated instruction as follows: 1. Take advantage of diverse information technology and use in teaching. 2. Make good use of sharing existing resources and teaching material. The suggestions for future researches on environmental issues are as follows: 1. Educational ideas on environmental issues should be strengthened. 2. Set up incentives for waste reduction. 3. Arrange visit of actual situation and have hands-on experience on environmental protection activities. And some suggestions for future researches as follows: 1. Increase research duration. 2. Make use of diverse research tools. 3. Modify research methods. Ho Zwei Chang 何瑞彰 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 155 zh-TW
