Therefore, missing people and accidents such as carbon monoxide poisoning or fire are quite frequent in Taiwan. In order to prevent unnecessary mishap effectively, this thesis is to design a multi-function remote care system for the aforementioned purpose. And we hope this system can help to reduce the carbon mono-oxide (CO) and fire accidents and the amount of lost people.
This system is composed of 3G module, GPS satellite positioning module, CO detection module Android app, communication server, and SQL databases. When the device is turned on, it will send latitude and longitude of the device, temperature and CO level to the communication server where the location can be transmitted to smart phone. The smart phone can display the position of the tracked device through Google map. Besides, the android app also calculates the distance between two locations, one is the location of tracked device and the other that of android phone. When the distance of the two locations is over a specific distance or CO value is abnormal or the temperature is over a threshold value. The phone will sound an alarm to inform the app user to pay attention to the tracked device. In this thesis, the system hardware includes SIM300 development board, CO sensing module, GPS/GPRS module, microcontroller, android phone and pc server. Together with the android app software, SQL database program and server communication program, a multifunction remote care system is built.
