碩士 === 南台科技大學 === 電子工程系 === 102 === Almost thousands of senior people get lost every year in Taiwan. In order to reduce the amount of missing people and social resources to find them, this project is to design an outdoor locating system to help locating those who can easily get lost. This system is composed of wireless module, 3G module, GPS module and android smart phone. When the senior people are away from their nursing workers at a pre-defined distance, a beeper of the locating system will go off, and the nursing worker should be able to hear a loud alarm. In case the nursing worker misses the alarm and the senior is far away from the nursing worker, the nursing worker can still find the senior using their android smart phone which can send a finding location short message first and wait for the responding message from the device with the senior people. Once the GPS location message is received, the GPS location can be shown on the smart phone. And this information should be able to use to locate the senior. In this study, an SIM300 hardware development board is used, this board includes GSM / GPRS module, GPS module, temperature sensors and other necessary components, combined with the Android smart phone APP software using Google Map to establish a complete tracking system.
