To analysis the catalytic activity and cell performance of different Pt/Ag composition ratio and the other parameters. XRD and TEM showed that the Pt1-x-Agx/C(x=0.5) catalyst had a better dispersion by ultrasonic dispersion treatment before the reaction. The Pt1-x-Agx/C(x=0.5) catalyst was alloy catalyst and the naonparticle size was about 4~5 nm. On the other hand, the Pt1-x-Agx/C(x=0.5) had a good electrochemical active surface area (EAS) at 100℃, the electrochemical activity a surface area was 23.8 cm2/mg. The different Pt/Ag composition ratio could be found that the EAS showed downward trend with increasing Ag content, while Pt1-x-Agx/C(x=0.4) had the best electrochemical active surface area from cyclic voltammetic test results. The results of single cell performance tests showed that using Pt1-x-Agx/C(x=0) and Pt1-x-Agx/C(x=0.5) as cathode catalyst showed the highest power density are were 400 mW/cm2 and 374 mW/cm2 at 50℃ with relative humidity of 100%.
