碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 人類性學研究所 === 102 === This thesis is aimed to explore (1) the awareness and thoughts of the gay couples out of the closet, (2) the interaction between the gay couples, (3) the interaction between the gay couples and their families,(4)the influencing elements in gay couple relationship. The phenomenological method of qualitative research method is adopted to in-depth interviewing for four gay couples. Through matching study, the couple interviews are conducted and analysised by the phenomenological method. The main findings are as follows: (1)The individual awareness and thoughts of gay couple (a)Most gay people in this research consider coming out enables themselves to be more carefree, and can reveal themselves more genuinely. (b)The parents’cognition and altitudes determine the accaptence to the gay couples. (c)The gay child misunderstands his parents’ accaptance to his sexual oriental. (d)The relationship between gay couples are as stable no matter coming out to the family or not. (e)The gay couples try hard to maintain their relationships after coming ou to the family. (2)The interaction between gay couples (a)The gay couples’ relationships initiate on internet and develope based on sincerity. (b)Conflictions and reconcitation are shared process in gay relationships. (c)No differences from heterosexuals, gay couples maintain their relationships through mutual communication, emotional supports and cares. (d)Gay partners have responding strategies to external difficulties. (3)The interaction between gay couples and their families (a)Before coming out, the gay sons and their parents all suspect the awareness of their sexual orientation. (b)After coming out, the reactions form the parents differ, some burst into tears, some not. (c)The interaction between gay couples and their parents differ after coming out. (d)Differant personalities and opions from gay couples and their parents cause the interaction within unidentical. (4)The elements that affect the gay couples’ relationships (a)The original families of the gay individuals directly or indirectly influence the interaction between agy couples. (b)Personal reasons affect the interaction between the partners to change.
