Due to the wide use of smartphone, research on smartphone has become a important topic. Therefore, this thesis aims at elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung city and checkes if the following factors: system quality, self-efficacy, involvement level, social influence and backgrounds influences their behavioral intention on using smartphone. This research investigates by using questionnaires, all the data collected are analyzed by statistical methods, such as: percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent sample t-test, and one-way ANOVA. After data analysis some important results are listed as follows: 1.Elementary school teachers'' behavioral intention and external variables to adopt a smartphone is at a slightly high level. 2.System quality, self-efficacy, involvement level and social influence have significant positive impact on teachers'' behavioral intention to adopt smartphone at elementary schools. 3.Sex, position and daily online time have significant effect on teachers'' behavioral intention to adopt a smartphone at elementary schools. Male, teachers serve as administrative work and daily online time over 3 hours have high level behavioral intention on using smartphone. According to the results mentioned above, this thesis makes several relative suggestions to educational administrations, schools, teachers, mobile phone company and future researches and help increase the effectiveness of smartphone-related works.
