The Study of the Knowledge Originality of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen’s Livelihood Economic Doctrine and its Knowledge Generality in Taiwan

博士 === 國防大學政治作戰學院 === 政治研究所 === 102 === Dr. Sun Yet-Sen once said in his lecture: “When one reasons on a certain thing, he first develops thoughts. After his thoughts are articulated, he creates a faith and thereby force is produced. A doctrine, therefore, begins with thought, is then vitalized by the creation of faith, and finally is established by the production of force”. The thought which he mentioned about basically is a kind of knowledge. Knowledge was often accumulated through time and experience and could not made up without any foundation. Furthermore, The Constitution of the Republic of China Article 1 provides: “The Republic of China, founded on the Three Principles of the People, shall be a democratic republic of the people, to be governed by the people and for the people”. Therefore, based on the grounds of inheritance from the ideas of Dr. Sun, compliance to the Constitution, expression of admiration to the funding father and reaction to the fact of separation of Cross-strait, this research would trying to refresh landscape of the study of Sunology. Thinking of the livelihood and economy development form past to the future, this research would provide scientific and effective support to the contemporary study of Dr. Sun Yet-Sen, promote the understanding of livelihood and economy, enlarge the effectiveness of the combination of the livelihood and national defense toward the nation's sustainable operation as well as peace and prosperity among the Cross-strait. According to the mentions above, this research aimed to the study of the knowledge originality of Dr. Sun's livelihood economic doctrine and verification of its knowledge generality. It applied the concept of the knowledge originality and knowledge generality of Library and Information Science, adopted historical approach with the methodology of documentary analysis and bibliometric study in order to understand the knowledge originality of Dr. Sun's livelihood economic doctrine, and to discuss its knowledge generality on the academia and governmental policy categories in Taiwan area from 1949 to nowadays. As results of this research, in the knowledge originality of Dr. Sun's livelihood economic doctrine, there are 13 items such as Confucianism was following the Chinese philosophical heritage, 18 items such as Industrial Revolutions was imitated from European theory and achievement, and 7 items such as the “Min Sheng Chu-I” (the principle of economic equality) was original discovered by Dr. Sun himself. In the knowledge generality of Dr. Sun's livelihood economic doctrine, there are 15 disciplines such as social science in academia as well as 6 categories such as legal policy in governmental policy. This research also has proved that the influence of Dr. Sun's livelihood economic doctrine's knowledge generality not only did effect in academia, but also in governmental policy. Besides, the research has found that the economic development of Dr. Sun's livelihood economic doctrine has its sequence and Dr. Sun emphasized the “Min Sheng Chu-I” the most among his “Three Principles of the People.” And the influential ratio of his knowledge originality from western country is higher than his mother country, which is closed to the length of his overseas education.
