Summary: | 碩士 === 東吳大學 === 財務工程與精算數學系 === 102 === By collecting individual customer’s trading information of a sample bank, this study discusses the relationship between trading purposes, trading tools and the background of customers. We find a highly positive correlation between trading tools and trading purposes and lowly positive correlation between trading tools and gender or education levels through contingency table analyses. After controlling gender, occupation, education level, trading amount, and some related variables, our ordered choice regression results show that customers choosing high-cost trading tool to execute more complex transaction. Our findings can be used to design the trading functions for different trading tools of a bank.
