| Summary: | 碩士 === 實踐大學 === 服裝設計學系碩士在職專班 === 102 === For thousands of years, the relationship between clothing and human was an evolution from a simple shelter to a symbol of status and trends. "Design" plays a very important role, but the design itself also gone through countless times of the revolution and of evolution before leading mankind towards the modernization. The boundaries between design and art are also increasingly blurred. Whether the bueaty of garment is actually more important than functional aesthetics. This has been a subject of debate to the fashion industry. It is there any possibilities between them? Is it fails to consider it? If we take into account, what will bethe design elements? Is there any formula?
Therefore, this study focuses on the creation of topics including:
1.Fashion design from the shape that is how evolution shaped function to be able to discuss unity?
2. Relations between geometry and aesthetics?
3. How to extrinsic geometry aesthetics, modern spirit for the content, creative design a "shape" and "can" both functional clothing? And solve people's lives for the inconvenience?
4.Can perform functional clothing design, geometry creation methods, and principles at the same time?
To answer the above question, this study will be integrated into clothing design philosophy of language, thinking, and inspired by a combination of modernism, of Bauhaus philosophy, and the spirit of geometric abstract art. Finally, I created a series of geometric designs with multi-functional performance designs.Also, I tried to integrate rational shape and aesthetic sensibility of the artistic concept to come upwith geometric fashion apparel by experimental studies.
Finally, after the creation of literature and the actual experiment, I obtained the following conclusions:
1. A geometric functional shape does have the possibility of its development. Moreover, the functional purpose is not only limited to physical function, but also to emotional purpose.
2. Sixteen grids functional matrix can help shape the misappropriation and the space around the body with the ratio of the measured quantity.
3 It is posibble to combine "shape bueatty" and "functions" via geometric functional clothing design methodology.
4 By followinggeometry functional principle, an entry-level designer can create unprecedent geometric functional garments.
