Summary: | 碩士 === 實踐大學 === 社會工作學系碩士班 === 102 === The study was to investigate nine community industries developed in northern Taiwan. The study examined community industry development history, current situation, difficulties, and future development. The study used qualitative interviews to collect data. According to community’s regional characteristics, industry type, and performance evaluation research subjects were selected by purposive sampling method. A total of nine Community Development Associations were selected, the community leaders or informants were interview subjects. Interviews were held from the end of April to the end of May in 2013, the finding were as followings:
(1).The community industry should be local, organized, creative and narrative.
(2).Residents should clear the purpose of industrial development, bear common belief in order to effectively promote the community industry.
(3).Issues about community environment, environmental protection, people, natural and ecological resources were among the theme for developing community industry.
(4).Effectively link and integrate resources within and outside the community, helping communities to promote industry.
(5).Introduce the concept of social enterprise management, reducing the impact of organizational election and leadership replacement.
(6).Adjust to the pulse of market, and reducing the competition of homogeneous products.
(7).Promoting community industry has positive impact and effect on autonomy of community, economic development and sustainability of the community.
Research suggestions for government policy makers and future community industry development were as followings:
1.Recommendations for Community Development Association (CDA) to promote community industry:
(1).Start with people to create a foundation for development.
(2).Maintenance of community ecological environment can bring the crowd to community helping promote industry.(3).Take social enterprise model to achieve sustainable and stable community development.
(4).To build collaborative networks among CDAs to enhance the community industry's production value.
(5).To encourage community visit each other to learn and active community economic development.
2.Recommendations for government to the community related policy making:
(1).Government should encourage community to develop community industry, and to create a favorable external environment for the community industry development.
(2).Clear the policy mission, values and vision to establish a systematic process of operation.
(3).Policies and regulations have to comply with the historical background and social environment.
(4).Policy framework, funding grants and verification mechanism should be flexible.
(5).Introducing a professional team coaching the development of community industry and building professional social worker counseling mechanisms.
(6).Encouraging private enterprise to invest in community development and building.
(7).Government should allocate resources to the community, employing a full-time staff in community to operate stably.
