How to promote DG in college become an important issue. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of using college general nutrition course promoting DG on students’ recognition and eating pattern. The method of this study was implemented by self-designed questionnaire, which included “Knowledge” (daily recommended intake and other contents about DG ) 、“Attitude” (DG、college general nutrition course and food select);and “Dietary Behaviors” (the compliance of six-categories of foods and eating habits). There were 373 participants in this study, including 309 non-nutrition-course students and 64 nutrition-course students. The results of study indicated that nutrition-course students’ recognition on daily recommendation were significantly better than non-nutrition-course ones (p<0.01). For nutrition-course students, their knowledge of daily recommendation and the compliance of six-categorie of foods were significant positively correlated (r=0.273,p<0.05) , and, their knowledge of contents about DG and negative eating habit were significantly negative correlated (r=-0.281,p<0.05) . Not all of the nutrition-course students had learned DG, nutrition-course students were classified into the non-DG group (n=35) and the DG group (n=29). For DG group, both knowledge score and attitude toward college general nutrition course were significantly higher than non-DG group ones (p<0.01), and the score of negative eating habit was significantly lower than non-DG group ones (p<0.01). These results demonstrated that promoting students’ recognition toward DG with college general nutrition course would improve the compliance toward DG and making better eating behaviors. Therefore, college general nutrition course could be one of an important pathway to promote DG for college students. Kung-Chi Chan Yao-Lin Weng 詹恭巨 翁瑤棽 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 107 zh-TW
