Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 法律學系 === 102 === Energy use, greenhouse gas emissions and material consumption from building sectors have an immense impact on climate environment. Green building is one of the approaches to mitigate climate change and it requires international attention. The adoption on green building measures can effectively mitigate the worsening situation with respect to climate and environment by traditional buildings. Several green building measures have developed in the world. Green building policy and legislation from the U.S. play the leadership role in the world. Especially, LEED certification mechanism in the U.S. has major impact on the approaches to sustainability. There is a need for Taiwan to adopt a more effective green building law and policy. Currently, the government has developed relevant measures, regulations and established the EEWH certification mechanism of the green building. However, contradictions and shortcomings remain. The target for this research is to assess Taiwan’s legal system and related mechanisms on green building. This research will provide some background on green building. It will then introduce Taiwan’s green building law and EEWH certification mechanism. Lastly, this research will analyze the effectiveness in the implementation of the current system and bring up proposals for future amendments.
