It is necessity for enhancing competitiveness of relation industry and developing the high performance drive elements. It conducted heat treatment in order to maintain accuracy of elements and increasing using life. Then, the surface friction characteristics and surface topography changes became a very important design parameter characteristic. This study investigates the nut- SCM415 and screw- 50CrMo4, which surface friction characteristics and surface topography changes after heat treatment.The study would like to understand the phenomenon difference between ball and screw and that between ball and nut. Using the experimental machine to simulate phenomena of sliding of ball by reciprocating methodand collocate with the rotational movement to obtain the real phenomenon of sliding of ball. Through phenomenon of sliding of ball analyzes relation of the wear and the friction coefficient of the surface so that assess the wear characteristics of the ball screw material.
