From cultural identity, individual forms and constructs itself through various patterns. Culture realizes and influences to personal life, and necessary spirit strength and mind quality. This kinds are individual and long term existence of cultural value, since mold an "individual", but at the same time is inherited and created by the "individual". Therefore, the ethnicity approves usually according to some particular factors, in the society such as race, language, district and skin color, religion, custom etc. The symbolic system that people identified is the method of distinction. This research mainly inquires to the charitable behavior of oversea Hakka ethnic and inquires to a person who has Hakka’s origin while moving to the overseas, how his /her charitable behavior affected by the Hakka culture? And what ethnic interactive mode is shaped by the common emigrant experience? What is the relationship between charitable behavior and Hakka culture of overseas Hakka ethnic? This study carried in a qualitative approach by using documentary analysis and content analysis. Sixteen overseas Hakka ethnic cases were selected to examine. The result of the study revealed several important findings. First, the reason for charitable behavior usually due to the mixture of altruistic and egoistic motivation. Second, social milieu and associational ethos have also provided many supports to affect these persons philanthropic behavior. Lastly, Hakka culture that they psychologically identified played a very important role to influence the concrete charitable behavior of these overseas Hakka ethnic people.
