| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 設計研究所 === 102 === The objective of the research is to design a modular component and to create diverse combination using it to make lighting products. The product value can be increased by creating multiple forms of combination and engaging consumers in the design process. The research method starts with several geometrical three- dimensional structures that can be joined continuously, and makes modularized lighting facilities by using a single component repetitively. When comparing the Matrix lighting products (Matrix 1 to 5) and other products in the market, the outcome shows the optimal facility is Matrix-5, as it has a smaller number of components, sophisticated appearance, easy connections, flexible forms, and is easy to store. To conclude, the project has chosen Matrix-5 for production and has completed Matrix-5 modular lighting component following a production procedure. The assembled product has met expected effects.
