The first one is usually used to evaluate the seismic performance of reinforced concrete structures, but it only can be considered with the first mode effect. Therefore, it is more suitable for low-rise buildings. It is needed to consider the response of higher mode effects in high-rise buildings, so the structural models of nonlinear dynamic analysis are often used in high-rise buildings because pushover analysis method cannot simulate with higher mode and torsion effects. Although nonlinear dynamic analysis can simulate the structural behavior effectively, it is too time-consuming and inconvenient for engineers to use it. Hence, this study mainly focuses on the feasibility of a spine model, and improves the results of pushover analysis. If whole structure can be simplified by a spine model, the nonlinear dynamic analysis can be finished within less time. It also provides the engineers to evaluate the seismic performance of high-rise buildings. Chien-Kuo Chiu 邱建國 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 146 zh-TW
