Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電子工程系 === 102 === The objective of this thesis is to design and implement a full-bridge phase-shift (FBPS) converter with short-duty peak power capability. The converter is capable of providing 1.8 times the full-load power in a brief instant, with no deteriorative effect on the efficiency during normal operation. This is accomplished by incorporating a variable frequency controller into the conventional FBPS converter. During normal operation, pulse phase modulation (PPM) control is used. While it is required to deliver the peak power, the phase angle is kept at a minimal value and pulse frequency modulation (PFM) control is utilized instead. By reducing the operating frequency, the effective duty cycle for regulation of output voltage is maximized. At the same time, we have established the DC-signal equivalent model and derived its transfer function to analyze the relationship between operating frequency and voltage gain. Finally, a design procedure is formulated in order to simplify the design for other similar converters in the future.
