Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 工業管理系 === 102 === The research conducted subjective evaluation toward sound signals by taking interior car sounds including 5 functions and total 35 sound samples (indicator, door warning, horn, parking sensor, and automatic shift car gear). And through interview, researchers can infer the characteristics that affect the user preference and suitability. When collecting the sound samples, research recorded those in reality and filtered sounds with high consistency. It can enhance the discrepancies of the sample, and decrease the required length of the whole experiment process. On the adjective phase, by literature review and the five features of the sounds including tone, loudness, quality, timbre, and tempo, research collect and integrate 9 pair of adjectives to conduct semantic differential method and construct the questionnaire. Besides the adjectives questionnaire, it also incorporates questions concerning the user preference and suitability between sounds and functions. In the research, it has two experiments: (1) paired comparison method and (2) semantic differential method. It intends to find out the subjective evaluation, which includes the participants preference and the perception of the sounds based on the selected adjectives. The result contributes a method of subjective evaluations toward sounds, enable sound signals designers to take accordance of user preference, evaluate and enhance the signals.
