碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 中國音樂學系 === 102 === Chihchun Chi-sun Lee has pay a long-term attention to music composition, and since the THGIRBLA.W came out in 1998, Lee has started a series of compositions concerning zheng music. Every work of Chihchun Chi-sun Lee's zheng compositions presents distinct characters and traits. Through analyzing the following three pieces, THGIRBLA.W, Dots, Lines and Convergence, and Zusammenflusses (CONFLUENCE), the researcher was trying to examine the performing forms of Lee's zheng works, probing into her composing methods, composing concepts, aesthetic aspect as well as viewpoint, and to think of how the composer efficiently uses the performing traits of zheng and develop its acoustic effects from a performer aspect. Through analyzing the mentioned pieces, the study aims to correctly interpret compositions with a solid prop. The study started from literature review, music analysis to interview, and then further dug into the interpret part. To comprehend the composer's background through interview to make sense of the music style of compositions, the researcher, in conclusion, provided an aspect of interpretation that’s closed to Lee's composing concept. The research result presented that the zheng solo piece, THGIRBLA.W, is fused with jazz materials and lively melody with compound meters. The Dots, Lines and Convergence developed the pointillistic music and the traits of zheng concerning timbre and tone with applications of Taiwanese folk songs within the punctual and linear musical actions. Zusammenflusses (CONFLUENCE) rather pay emphasis on the contrast and unity, developing texture through different instruments. Chihchun Chi-sun Lee takes advantages of the musical sounds of zheng to enrich her works. As time goes by, the increasing of related performing skills, the promotion of performing difficulty and more and more development of diverse acoustic sounds show that Chihchun Chi-sun Lee has an in-depth comprehension and dedication towards zheng music. Obviously, on the basis of the Western-music theory and modern composing methods, Lee's zheng music presents the value of traditional music and aesthetic aspect of the Eastern music.
