By analyzing the concepts and the teaching goals of Royal academy of dance (RAD) "Dance to your own Tune" Dance curriculum, milieu teaching, and the modular courses of children’s dance material design, the researcher examined the efficacy of enhancing children’s interest and related capabilities in learning dance, and explored the purposes of material development in milieu teaching. The study primarily employed the teaching structure and goals of RAD "Dance to your own Tune" Dance curriculum as reference of the material design. With the literature review, data collection, data analysis, review of curriculum design, written and edited materials of the milieu teaching, and the modification of the material contents suggested by experts and scholars, the researcher completed the "expert validity evaluation" of the teaching materials and revised the material design with completion. The findings of the study were shown as follows: 1. The design as well as the teaching goals of RAD "Dance to your own Tune" Dance curriculum was in compliance with physical and mental development of the children. It was suitable for children aged two and a half to five to learn and enhance their ability of basic body movements, music cognition concepts, expression, and self-confidence. 2. With the expert evaluation of "Milieu Teaching in Children’s Dance Education Materials", the present study was in line with the learning goal design of RAD "Dance to your own Tune" Dance curriculum. In addition, by applying milieu teaching, children’s different capacity development and interest in dancing were both enhanced. 3. With the abundance and diversity of the milieu, the development of the dance curriculum was further extended and expanded. By obtaining and effectively implementing the theme curriculum design bases 3W1H (what, when, why, and how) provided by RAD "Dance to your own Tune" Dance curriculum and the combination of the milieu, the contents of the curriculum will be further versatile.
