Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 音樂學系 === 102 === Carl Nielsen was a well-known Denmark composer, conductor, violinist, and music educator. He was an important model of Denmark. Nelsen wrote operas, solo pieces, chamber music, incidental music, folk songs and instrumental music. In 1974, Leonard Bernstein conducted New York Symphonic Orchestra performing the completed works by Nielsen. After that, Nielsen’s music started to expand to other countries. In Europe and United State, his music became more and more popular at that time. In this thesis, I am going to exam “flute concerto” by Nielsen from his late period. “Flute concerto” is a mature masterpiece which represents Nielsen’s music style. It contains classical music style with other different materials and creates new elements into his music. His music implies the concept of Neoclassicism . This article is divided into five chapters; introduction, biography, flute concerto, deeply analyzing piece, and conclusion.
