The First chapter deals with British policy towards military operations in China, which emphasize on the explanation for its passiveness. The Second Chapter presents the British attitude towards punishment of the criminals and indemnities, and comparing it with other nations. The purpose of which is to reveal its unique principle for Chinese policy. The last Chapter aims at the British policy toward the spheres of influence in China, namely the Yangtze Valley. It contains the discussion of the British support for the neutrality of the Yangtze Valley and the Anglo-German agreement 1900.
