Currently there are many calculation methods available to analyze numerical data, but most methods are based on complex theories, in which the slightest mistake in the calculation process would lead to inaccurate results. Thus, an easy-to-use and accurate method to analyze and calculate numerical data would be of great help to the complex mathematical problems engineers often face. Taking advantage of its quick and easy characteristics, this study utilized SCM to calculate the site period and multi-site period. SCM gives us a simple and accurate method for calculations; combined with the use of the programming language MATLAB to perform the calculations, SCM greatly increases the accuracy of numerical data results and provides users with a convenient and efficient way of tackling difficult engineering computational problems.
