Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 進修部暑期體育碩士班 === 102 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the learning effectiveness of a stu-dent with intellectual disability by applying fitness education model to aquatic activity curriculum. Specifically, it examined of the effects on the cognition of fitness concept, the acceptance of the curriculum, the aquatic adaptation, and the fitness ob-jects-flexibility, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance. The participant was a male with moderate intellectual disability. The instruction of the aquatic activity cur-riculum was delivered one-on-one. This was a case study with the treatment continued for eight weeks with 40 minutes a lesson and two lessons per week, a total of 16 les-sons. Both qualitative and quantitative approaches were used for data collection. On one hand, the qualitative data, analyzed by constant comparison, was from interviews, work sheets, and teaching journals. On the other hand, the instructional video tapes collected were analyzed in the quantitative data which examines the courses vide-otaped by systematic observation.
