| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 休閒事業管理碩士在職專班 === 102 === The study aims to explore the caring pressure of the mothers with mentally and physically disabled children and the parenting leisure styles. The data is analyzed by using quality research method for 4 cases with well adaption mothers with disabled children. The results seen as follows:
(A) First, the stress of the mothers with disabled children includes the load of the caring in the future, lack of the medical information, huge cost for medical service, maintaining of the relationship with the child, uncertain of the future of the children, being pushed out from the school and society, incontinuous of the education and the career arrangement in the adulthood.
(B) Second, family accommodation and social support style, such as acceptance of the family, the process of the rehabilitation, self enhancement via activities and sport and material support from the family.
(C) Third, the learning of the disabled children, including set up of the rules, establishing the ability of self care, lower down the standard and give some appraise as reinforcement to establish the self confidence of the disabled children.
(D) Last, for the type of the leisure in the family, the family with higher support gets higher possibility to the access to leisure activities, also gets benefit for the children’s rehabilitation and the stress of the mother. In total, all members benefit from the leisure.
In facing the families with disabled children, the biggest help and support is to offer a highly acceptance and love.
