The framework of the study was based on extending the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2), and incorporates a moderator voluntariness into UTAUT2, to probe the influence of the four factors, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions on the behavioral intention and use behavior. This study adopted the questionnaire method for elementary school teachers as the research subjects. The self-compiled questionnaire: “The Acceptance of teaching with mobile devices for the Elementary School Teachers in Kaohsiung City” was employed. With stratified random sampling, a total of 17 schools and 410 teachers participated in the research, and 401 valid copies were collected. The obtained data were analyzed via descriptive statistics, structural equation modeling, and hierarchical moderator regression analysis to identify the hypothesis and research framework of this study. The study found that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence would have significant influences on behavioral intention. In predicting use behavior, both facilitating conditions and behavioral intention were significant. Furthermore, the effects of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions on behavioral intention and use behavior were moderated by age, experience, and voluntariness.
