This study adopted a questionnaire survey and included 132 participants. The participants are both special education teachers from junior high schools and special schools in the 2013 academic year in Tainan City . The study employed “Leisure Sports Participation and Perceived Health Status Questionnaire of Special Education Teachers in junior high schools in Tainan City”.The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test , one-way ANOVA.The major findings includes: 1.37.1 percent of special education teachers are still involved in leisure sports ragularly. The proportion of male special education teachers have participated in leisure sports than women; over the age of 30 years, to increase the proportion of age to participate in leisure sports is also reduced. 2.The perceived health status of the special education teachers in Tainan City was the standard above average. 3.Significant differences have been revealed on the perceived health status of special education teachers in junior high school with different background variables such as gender and age.The perceived health status of Males was better than females.The perceived health of special education teachers in 20 -30 years old and 31-40 years old was better than 51-60 years old. 4. Significant differences have been revealed on the perceived health status of special education teachers in junior high school with different leisure sport participation of status,such as participated or not , participated regularly or not , different frequency in one week to participate in, different times in one week to participate in .Special education teachers have participated,whose perceived health status was better than not participate; participated regularly was better than participated occasionally and not participate. Special education teacher participated more than once a week , whose perceived health status was better than not participate. They have participated four times a week, whose perceived health status was better than twor times a week. They have participated four times a week ,whose perceived health status was better than twor times a week. They have participated three times a week whose perceived health status was better than once a week. Special education teachers spent 61 minutes or more for participating ,whose perceived health status was better than who spent 60 minutes or less.Special education teachers paid NTD 501~1000 for leisure sports participating ,whose perceived health status was better than who didn’t pay.
