The study applied questionnaires survey to collect information on elementary school sixth grade students’ leisure participation and leisure benefits, and then analyzed and organized information through some statistical methods: frequency distribution, t- test, one way ANOVA, Scheffé post hoc comparisons. Based on the analysis of the data, the following are the main findings of the study: 1. Leisure activity types Taichung City Lai-cuo sixth grade students most frequently participate in are mainly on" entertainment " and " social intercourse " , and more often participating in activities such as " watch TV”, " chat "," play mobile games", "read "and" use social networking sites". 2. Different gender had significantly differences in leisure participation. In the involvement of "skill-based","knowledge-based culture" and "entirety leisure participation", girls were better than boys. Socioeconomic status had no differences in leisure participation. Parental bonding had significantly differences in leisure participation. In the "skill-based"Leisure Participation, the high-care and high-control group were better than the low-care and high-control group; In the "outdoor recreation" leisure Participation, high-care and high-control group were better than the low-care and low-control group. 3. Different gender had significantly differences in leisure benefits. In the "physiological benefits”, boys were better than girls; in the"educational benefits", girls were better than boys. Socioeconomic status had no differences in leisure benefits. Parental bonding had significantly differences in leisure benefits. In the "physiological benefits", "psychological benefits", "educational benefits", "social benefits" and " entirety leisure benefits", the high-care and low-control group were better than the low-care and high-control group.
