The research will further analyze the motives behind listing in GISA, study the regulations and procedures required, and examine the current GISA.
The government is actively promoting and building Taiwan’s economic growth. Fostering domestic innovation and creativity in small-size companies have become a crucial key. If the GISA can successfully foster the growth of creative industries, it will not only improve the nation's economic status, it will also expand the scale of the Taiwan's stock market; attract foreign experiences and talents; and accelerate the nation's economic growth. Hence, understanding the possible challenges faced by listing in GISA is the main focus of this research.
This research found that the current companies that applied to be listed in GISA can be divided into electronics industry, agriculture, forestry, fishery, cultural and creative industries, and social enterprises. The main factors that influenced their decision to be registered on GISA, was that the GISA proactively helps small-sized innovative companies in terms of establishing integrative counseling mechanism to provide accounting, internal control, marketing, and regulatory integrative counseling services. In this way, innovative private small-sized companies are able to set up internal control and corporate governance systems. Moreover, GISA also helps innovative private small-sized companies to raise capital at a lower cost, in order to grow a sustainable business enterprise.
