Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 語文與創作學系語文教學碩士班 === 102 === Abstract This study aimed to explore the teaching process on implementing “Bookstart” for first and second grade students in elementary school. Plan out the teaching activities of reading, through whole-class reading and combine tools such as picture books, Powerpoint presentations, design of diverse activities and themed questioning strategies. The purpose of the plan is to arouse students' interest in reading and to develop good reading habits. Therefore, enhance their diverse learning abilities, and bring up noble moral sentiments. Conclusions of the research as follows: 1. The design of diverse reading activities benefits the implementation of “Bookstart.” (1) The design of diverse reading activities is the required teaching strategy for implementation of “Bookstart.” (2) The design of diverse reading activities can work with students’ life experiences. (3) The design of diverse reading activities is provided with comprehensiveness that integrates curriculum. 2. Teaching by Picture books in Powerpoint formate enhances students’ effectiveness of reading. (1)Picture books in Powerpoint formate benefits the first and second grade students’ reading activities. (2)Picture books in Powerpoint formate is worth promoting to the first and second grade students’ reading activities. (3)Picture books in Powerpoint formate arouse students' interests in reading (4)Picture books in Powerpoint formate elevates students’ abilities in speaking and writing. 3. Applying questioning strategies to thematic discussion can develop students' thinking skills. (1) Arouse students’ positive attitude of learning (2) Guide students to think positively (3) Enhance students’ learning of diverse cognition 4. Teacher is a promoter of teaching of reading activities. Teachers and students learn from each other in this teaching process. (1) Development of students <1> Bring up a reading culture <2> Elevates literacy <3> Progress in oral expression <4> Improves peer relationship (2) Growth of researchers <1> Enhance professional knowledge and skill <2> Put educational philosophy into practice <3> Apply knowledge (3) Create great interaction between student and teacher. Also help teacher and student learning from each other in teaching process. Finally, based on the findings and results of this research, suggestions are proposed for teachers, school administrations and future researches for future study.
