Relationship Between Good Death Attitude and Spiritual Health--A Case of One University Students

碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 教育學系生命教育碩士班 === 102 === In the process of growing up, family and teachers will tell us to do some intent for our own life, however, how many people can promise to do their own death and ready to learn? In fact, learn how to face death is the good death. According to the derived goals of good death of the World Health Organization (WHO), they should be four sound dimensions including physical, psychological, social and spiritual. Therefore, the present paper is to investigate the correlations between the spiritual health and the good death attitude. This article 「Related reasearches between the good death attitude and the spiritual health – example of university students」 aimed at analyzing the correlations and tried to explore the predictable situations between the good death attitude and the spiritual health. All university students of one to four grades as the study participants performed a systematic study of the life education in the present study. The methods were stratified random sampling and cluster sampling, respectively, less the number of samples analyzed questionnaires after missing values for 673 people within obtained 715 valid questionnaires of the issued 816 questionnaires. There were two scale questionnaires employed in the present study, 1. Howden (1992) prepared by Hang (2003) to translation to the Chinese of Spiritual Health Scale, 2. Good Death Attitude Scale by Chen (2007). The research utilized the statistical software packages of SPSS version 12 for data processing and to undertake a comprehensive discussions and interpretations based on the results of quantitative data analysis and Western literatures. The results showed that the highest significant positive correlation with r = 0.40 and p < 0.01 between the good death attitude and the spiritual health, the moderate positive correlation coefficients for their total amount, exhibiting that subjects have more positive good death attitude resulting in having a higher spiritual health. Finally, according to the findings and discussions of the present paper, suggested that made the good death as the core courses with enhancing the spiritual health supplement in order to help a view of college life education.
