Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 教育傳播與科技研究所 === 102 === Using Vlog for teaching can break the limit of time and distance, therefore the information and knowledge were more easily shared by internet. The purpose of this research was to understand how to design on-line courses by Vlog. Thus, it would help learners to become effective self-directed learners and investigate learning ability of themselves. In addition, it would explore learning effectiveness of self-directed learners by Kirkpatrick model. The research started in March 2014, the pilot study invited 15 self-directed learners to participate. Then, they have completed formal questionnaires and Vlog afterward that was launched in April 2014. The research was used quantitative methods to explore learning ability and effectiveness of self-directed learners. A total of 35 learners participated in this study. The results are as follows. 1.The principles of Vlog course design included individual, adaptability, flexibility and interaction. Self-directed learners keep exploring actively and positively. The advantage of internet and the ability of learners could achieve the ideal online course. 2.The results showed the self-directed learners’ ability scales to achieve an average score of 4.20 which means very high self-directed learners ability; while 60 percentages of samples was female and 40 percentages was male. However, there was no significant gender differences in the ability for self-directed learning. 3.Through self-directed learning effectiveness scale, it was found the learners in a five-point Likert scale achieved an average score of 3.71. The results showed the reaction level average score was 3.79 and the learning level average score was 3.82. Moreover, the behavior level average score was 3.67. The self-directed learners through the Vlog to learn Ukulele satisfied the learning and they reached the ability promotion and transfer of learning.
