The participants comprised 28 Sixth graders in New Taipei County where the researcher was employed during the 102th semester. The research adopted action research. According to the exploration of documents as well as on-the-spot teaching, the research was designed as a interpersonal communication story-telling teaching activity. The process of conducting the program was as follows: warm-up activities, story narration, discussion , extension activities, reflections and practice. Data were collected by“Interpersonal Communication Scale of elementary school”, observation, interviews, document analysis, etc. The main conclusions are as follows. 1.The teaching mode of story- warm-up activities, story narration, discussion , extension activities, reflections and practice could promote student learning interpersonal communication in effect. 2.Story teaching is the favorable teaching way to enhance students' interpersonal communication ability . 3.By discussions and statement, The interpersonal communication ability of students is growing up. 4.From the story characters and activities,Students could learn the interpersonal communication skills and carry out in their life. 5.The teaching program of interpersonal communication could help to promote self-expression and affirmation of the students. 6.The teaching program of interpersonal communication could help to promote interpersonal perception and empathy of the students. 7.Provide students opportunities of participating in storytelling could help students learn the interpersonal communication skills. 8.Take care individual needs in teaching could help students learn the interpersonal communication skills. 9. Design and implementation of action research could help to raise the professional capacity of the teacher. 10.Teaching reflection and revise could help teachers solve the problems of teaching.
