Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 資訊科學系碩士班 === 102 === This research mainly explored whether or not teaching with online topic-oriented learning methods has any effect on the levels of geometric thinking and learning of school students. It further sought to understand the degree of satisfaction among students in the incorporation of PBL into their mathematics curricula. Therefore, this research adopted a nonequivalent pretest-posttest design quasi experiment approach. Two fifth-grade classes of an elementary school in Taipei were chosen for the experiment, one class, with 31 students, as the experiment group and the other, with 29 students, as the control group. Analyses of the results from this experiment yielded the following conclusions: 1. Teaching with online PBL was helpful for the elevation of the level of geometric thinking, and the experiment had a significant impact on the van Hiele geometric thinking levels 1 and 2. 2. After receiving the experiment teaching, the result of learning for the experiment group was markedly more superior to that of the control group. It indicated that learning with online PBL was helpful to the improvement of the effectiveness of learning geometric concepts. 3. The students generally expressed their satisfaction in mobile learning tools and the PBL system, and they were willing to continue using this learning approach to study other subjects.
