According to the literature review, the researcher extracted the factors of percussion ensemble training and formed the structure of the study. Research participants were instructors of percussion ensembles in Keelung City, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan County, Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County, Yilan County, and Hualien County. Survey research method was applied in the study, and the researcher-developed questionnaire was used as the researcher instrument. After conducting telephone survey, 61 questionnaires were sent with 100% return rate. Fifty questionnaires were analyzed after deducting invalid questionnaires with discrepant identity. The data were analyzed through frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheff’s method and Pearson’s product-moment correlation. The conclusions were as follows: 1.The status of percussion ensembles in elementary schools in northern area were presented in established year, human resources, member selection, funding sources, administrative support, and training methods. 2.Instructors of percussion ensembles showed highly positive attitude torward "organization management." 3.Instructors of percussion ensembles presented highly accordant in "teaching instruction." 4.Instructors of percussion ensembles with different backgrounds sh significant differences in organization management. 5.Instructors of percussion ensembles with different backgrounds had significant differences in teaching instruction. 6.Organizational management and teaching instruction of percussion ensemble instructors had low correlations.
