Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 自然科學教育學系碩士班 === 102 === ABSTRACT This research is The Action Research about solar observation instruction for Elementary School Fifth Grade Students by a 3-D Actual Model of the “Sun Altazimuth”. The revise is according to the qualitative and quantitative data. And the standard of revise is built on the changing of children’s core concept on solar observation. Since September 2010 to September 2012, we choose 24 children of 4th grade and 22 children of 5th grade of an elementary school in south Taipei city, and use our new teaching materials including of a lot of textbooks to educate them. We try to understand the learning situation of children by three steps educational experiment, short-answer type questions, examination and face to face communication. We follow the methods and steps above again and again to construct an effective new educational method for easy learning and teaching. This method is not only improving the knowledge of teachers but also provide a reference to teachers. The following is the results of this research:(1)The concepts “sun rise at the east and sink at the west”, “sun is always on the top of head at 12 o’clock” and “the routes of sun runs are the same everyday” are common before children learning.(2)Qualitative and quantitative data show that concepts and grade of children are improving. It proof that the new educational teaching materials and method are effective.(3)After three cycles of teaching, collecting data, analysis and amending, we construct a new plan for “observation of sun” with sun theodolite (see attachment 4).
