With the advancement of renewable energy technologies, the concept of micro-grids and distributed generation is gaining attention. For a new generation of fuel cell power source, unlike traditional types of battery, an adequate supply of hydrogen and oxygen, through the oxidation-reduction reaction of water, will produce a steady and continual power supply and thus plays an important role as compared with those numerous unreliable distributed power generations. The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze the dynamic response of the fuel cell generation system. The power sources of the study system include a diesel generator and a fuel cell. When the system operates on islanding or grid-connected, the responses of load variation are quite different. In this study, the MATLAB/Simulink is adopted for modeling and simulation. When the system operates in the grid-connected mode, the voltage and frequency are less affected by load changes. When the system operates under the islanding mode, affected voltage and frequency can be adjusted by the exciter and the governor respectively and will go back to a new stable state. For the study results, it is shown that the fuel cell can be regarded as a steady and reliable power supply in the micro-grid. Huang, Pei-Hwa 黃培華 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 72 zh-TW
