In particular the download of LINE takes the lead in social networking apps. Foreign studies reveal that instant messaging softwares offer a private space that avoids face-to-face social interaction for people who have social interaction anxiety. Those softwares can eliminate the awkwardness, agitation and disturbance in interpersonal relationships, and the online communication becomes helpful for people with the social interaction anxiety to develop and maintain interpersonal connections. The purpose of the study is to discuss whether there is a media effect of LINE uses on people with social interaction anxiety in terms of establishing and maintaining friendship between people. Such study can be used as the suggestion and reference for future studies. This research uses quantitative approaches by questionnaires of In-service people and college students in Taiwan. Using convenience sampling, this study collected 617 valid samples from the respondents. The measure tools used in this study include “LINE user’s background variables and habits Questionnaire”, “LINE Uses Scale”, “Social Interaction Anxiety Scale”, and “Friendship Scale”. To verify the differences between gender and age of the user on the LINE uses and social interaction anxiety, the results of survey were analyzed by Independent-Samples t Test and one-way ANOVA. To examine the mediation effects of LINE uses were analyzed by simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study are as follows: 1. There is a significant difference between genders in the “emotion expression” and “instant interaction” in LINE uses. 2. A significant difference between ages has also been found in the “instant interaction” in LINE uses.3. It is found that the influence of age and social interaction anxiety is pronounced. 4. Studies justify that social interaction anxiety positively affects the “manipulative participation,”“emotion expression” and “instant interaction” in LINE uses. On the other hand, LINE uses also positively affect the friendship development between people. 5. Using LINE as the mediation variable, the result supports that the Line uses has complete mediation effect on the connection of social interaction anxiety and friendship. 王健華 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 95 zh-TW |
