Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 健康促進與衛生教育學系在職進修碩士班 === 102 === The main purpose of this research is to discover the relationship between the motives of continue education and behavior intension of participating sexual education for elementary school nurses in Taipei, New Taipei, and Keelung city. A total of 328 effective data was collected. The recovery rate was 94.8%. Results from this study are listed as follows:
1. The elementary school nurses had an above average awareness of sexual health. Sexual self awareness was affected by past experiences of sexual education, current school curriculums of sexual education, and desire of continue education on this subject.
2. The elementary school nurses had above average self-efficacy in their teaching of sexual education. The self efficacy was affected by age, course load, years of nurse experiences at school, past teaching experiences, past conferences attended, and willingness to attend future conferences.
3. The elementary school nurses had an above average intention to assist sexual education program. This intention was affected by marital status, number of children, load of administrative schoolwork, course load, past job experiences, teaching experiences in current school, past conferences attended, willingness to attend future conferences, self awareness of sexual health, and self-efficacy.
4. self-efficacy is the greatest determinant to explain the behavior intention to assist sexual education program by 55.1%.
5. Eighty percent of the elementary school nurses hope to have one-day conferences. Ten percent of elementary school nurses think that it is best to have a certificate or a license to officiate the completion of their training. All of the elementary school nurses wanted the seminars to focus more on methods of teaching and inclusion of a teaching demonstration.
6. The elementary school nurses would like to have one-day conferences to enhance their teaching skills which include a teaching demonstration and training courses.
