Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 美術學系在職進修碩士班 === 102 === The rise of a pluralistic society in Taiwan has led to an increase in the number of arts groups, artists, and non-profit arts organizations. Art itself has been enriched by new creations using different mediums and styles. Multidisciplinary approaches have resulted in the formation of a more varied art scene. However, the global economic downturn has resulted in weaker government fiscal positions, and as a result, curtailed funding for the arts. Thus, the arts community has sought resources outside the public sphere, and have created linkages with all manner of partner. Since 2003, "Project Way" has become the major fundraiser of the National Culture and Arts Foundation. The “Arts and Business” (A&B) partnership program has been another way the NCAF has been playing an intermediary role between the business community and the arts. This study focuses on the NCAF’s A&B platform, considering successful case studies over several years through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and other methods. Considered aspects include goal setting, implementation strategy, the circumstances under which goals are met, funding and resource utilization, and concrete results from A&B projects, meanwhile, evaluation indicators used to weigh the NCAF’s work as a matchmaker and the success of its A&B projects, the better to show the conditions under which A&B cooperation succeeds include efficiency, effectiveness, sufficiency, evenhandedness, responsiveness, and appropriateness. The establishment of a mutually beneficial relationship and trust between the arts and business greatly affects the effectiveness of any given project. In such a partnership, clear communication among participants is important in each phase of project execution; communication helps participants reach their goals and pursue their common interests. Unique experiences arise due to the differences in each case considered. Finally, this study proposes practical suggestions for closer cooperation between the business community and the arts community.
