In order to accomplish purposes, the subjects in this study were a group of grade-one elementary school students in Tainan City. The homeroom teacher used picture books with four different group-living skills including “confidence and optimism,” ”concentration and self-discipline,” “restrain one’s impulse.” and ” understand and accep one''s feelings” in classroom for the group-living skills education program designed by the researcher for the study Data were collected and analyzed through quasi experiment and context analysis. The result is as follows: 1. Indeed, using picture books to teach group-living skills on grade-one students is effective. 2. There are significant gender differences among the experimental group. 3. Indeed, the education curriculum with picture books that attractive and effective, which is also interactive games make grade-one students learn the concrete concept of character easily and practice in their life. 4. The best of education curriculum for group-living skills on grade-one students should include gender themes and picture books with ”concentration and self-discipline”. According to the result, the researcher offers the concrete suggestion about selecting picture books should considerate gender and design different interactive games in order to promote group-living skills on grade-one students.
