This study was based on a survey research about the questionnaire and the interview. Research tools were “Questionnaire on the Cognition and Attitude of the Online Privacy Right of the Elementary School Students” and the interview outline, which were developed by the researcher. 684 students in the higher grade of the elementary school in Tainan City were research subjects and they were asked to fill out the questionnaire. Besides, 12 of these students were selected to be interview subjects. After collecting the whole questionnaires, the researcher used descriptive statics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient to analyze the data, and the researcher arranged interview data. The conclusions of this study were as follows: 1. Higher grade elementary school students in Tainan City had the good cognition of the online privacy right, and positive attitude of the online privacy right. 2. Higher grade elementary school students with partly different background variables performed differently on the cognition of the online privacy right. (a)Female students in the higher grade of the elementary school performed better than male students on the cognition of the online privacy right. (b)Higher grade elementary school students with different grades performed the same on the cognition of the online privacy right. (c)Higher grade elementary school students with differently internet-using experiences performed the same on the cognition of the online privacy right. (d)An average of students who used fewer time on the internet every day in the higher grade of the elementary school performed better on the cognition of the online privacy right. (e)Higher grade elementary school students with differently internet-using condition in the house performed the same on the cognition of the online privacy right. 3.Higher grade elementary school students with partly different background variables performed differently on the attitude of the online privacy right. (a)Female students in the higher grade of the elementary school performed better than male students on the attitude of the online privacy right. (b)Higher grade elementary school students with different grades performed the same on the attitude of the online privacy right. (c)Higher grade elementary school students with differently internet-using experiences performed the same on the attitude of the online privacy right. (d)An average of students who used fewer time on the internet every day in the higher grade of the elementary school performed better on the attitude of the online privacy right. (e)Higher grade elementary school students with differently internet-using condition in the house performed the same on the attitude of the online privacy right. 4. Higher grade elementary school students who had the higher level cognition of the online privacy right, they also had the stronger positive attitude of the online privacy right.
