碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 國語文學系國語文教學碩士班 === 102 === Out of the consideration for land and animals, Liu Ke-Xiang voices for animals through animal novels, which reflects the change of human’s living environment and establishes his own writing style. The thesis study is based on Liu Ke-Xiang’s young adult fiction. It discusses the ecological writing contents, artistic characteristics and educational value in Liu Ke-Xiang’s novels. It then generalizes and draws a conclusion. Liu Ke-Xiang uses his long-term observation as the writing background, which combines with literature writing techniques, integrates well with literature and natural science, and presents the combination of perception and rationality. The ecological writing of Liu Ke-Xiang’s young adult fiction not only broadens teenagers’ horizons but also makes them deeply and completely know their living environment. He implies readers to care about the environmental problems in the life and awakens people’s affection for land. He successfully reflects his life concepts through writing animal novels. With humbleness and respect, Liu Ke-Xiang coexists with the nature. His works present respecting life, equality of all living things, and cherishing land and homelands, which are worth teenagers’ introspection and learning.
