Using snowball sampling, researcher picks five mothers of children aged under three in the early intervention in Taichung City. The research involves collecting data from interviews, observations and other references to conduct an analysis. The conclusions of the research are mentioned below. 1. The mothers of children under the age of three in the early intervention could find children’s developmental delay early. They have correct concepts of early intervention and optimistic attitude toward children’s parenting. Before without the early intervention, mothers are comparatively short of parenting cognition. 2. Early intervention service enhances mothers’ competency for parenting children under the age of three. In addition, it helps those children with developmental delay to improve their abilities in every aspect. However, the frequency of mothers’ participance is affected by demanding from professionals. Therefore, those mothers couldn’t help children by themselves even though they would be willing to do it better. 3. The mothers of children in the early intervention have great pressure on parenting. In the parenting process, mothers would face various problems, including feeding on children with developmental delay, disagreements with other family members about parenting and psychological unbalance other siblings would have because of mothers’ much attention for children with developmental delay. Also, in the process of early intervention service, mothers of children with developmental delay confront some problems, such as being opposed by family, having an economical burden, lacking of early intervention resources, conflicting between professionals, the gap between parents and professionals and difficulties of doing intervention with children at home. According to the result of the research, there are further suggestions for parents of children with developmental delay, the government, social service organizations and future research.
